Hazard Board (For Drivers)
This signal comes in the form of a board displayed from, or adjacent to a flag point. It appears to be a very well kept secret!
What it says is that there is a hazard ahead which wasn’t there at the start of the race/practice. This is nearly always a parked car. Usually you will have seen a yellow flag at the scene when the car was being placed in a “place of relative safety”. Although if the car has been abandoned during the first couple of laps then the event can be done and dusted before you arrive on the next lap.
Please be aware that the size and construction of these boards vary considerably from circuit to circuit, some may be hard to see.
Action: Take note.
Reason: Insurance requirement for the circuit/organizers.
